Big features, a small price
The Plantronics M70 is the successor to the popular M55, and similar its forbear, it is an affordable headset, but you get plenty for your money. While it doesn’t have a maximum build it’s quite comfy to wear, it supports voice commands for real hands-free use and the sound quality is excellent, especially when aided by the built-in noise-canceling tech. Also, the M70 has a DeepSleep mode which activates when it’s detached from a paired smartphone for 90 minutes and leaves it with up to five months of battery life, but just bring your phone within range and it will swiftly wake up again.
The top Bluetooth for chatterboxes
With a talk time of over eight hours, the Jabra Wave is a Bluetooth headset that just keeps going and going, making it the perfect choice if you’re going to be away from a charger for a long period of time. The fairly large size means it’s not the most discreet of headsets, but it’s a worthy trade-off for all that battery life. Also, it has strong audio quality and is good at muffling noise, especially wind. Add to that easy pairing and the capability to connect it to two devices at once and the Jabra Wave is a solid choice.
The era of the traditional Bluetooth headset is coming to an end. If you look at Amazon or any other big retailer, you see that the single-ear headsets of 10 years ago have quickly evolved into stereo Bluetooth headphones, practically all of which include microphones for you to make calls with. While there are still mono headsets on the market, many of them are either no-name products, several years old or no quality.
